Floor Lifting & PU Injection

Lifting sunken concrete floors using PU injection (foam jacking / slab lifting).

Lifting and levelling sunken floor slabs with polyurethane foam – also known as foam jacking or slab lifting – is a fast, non-invasive repair method without breaking up or chiselling the floor. By injecting specialised expanding resins and foams under the slab, the substrate is stabilised and the structure raised with millimetre precision.

Floor lifting with PU injection – raising sunken industrial floors

Your benefit

  • Very small bore holes – minimal site impact
  • Fast reaction – short downtime
  • Controllable lifting with laser monitoring
  • Low material weight vs. cement grouting

Vorteile

Warum Floor Lifting & PU Injection?

No demolition – room stays usable

Production continues, no downtime, no dust, no waste.

Mm-precise lifting

Laser-monitored, controlled lifting with sub-millimetre tolerance.

Fast curing

Material expands and hardens within minutes – fully load-bearing.

Soil compaction in one step

The expansion pressure simultaneously compacts the weak soil – two effects in one process.

Watertight & rot-proof

Closed cells – material is water-resistant, durable and rot-proof.

Cost-efficient

Approx. 30–50% cheaper than slab replacement – without disposal costs.

Many applications

From private residential buildings to industrial halls and warehouses.

How it works

How does Foam Jacking?

Lifting sunken floor slabs is done in five steps – fast, controlled and without breaking up the floor.

  1. 01

    Drilling injection openings

Small bore holes typically up to 16 mm diameter are set in the floor slab – nearly invisible and without damaging the surface.

  2. 02

    Material injection

A two-component, high-density polyurethane rigid foam (closed-cell) is injected through the bore holes under controlled high pressure.

  3. 03

    Void filling

The foam spreads under the slab, displaces residual moisture and completely fills existing voids.

  4. 04

    Hydraulic lifting

As the foam expands, it hydraulically lifts the floor slab to the required height – controlled, laser-monitored and millimetre-precise.

  5. 05

    Curing & load-bearing

The material reaches its full load capacity in a very short time – rooms and surfaces are often usable again within minutes.

Main advantages

  • Clean & non-disruptive

Work without breaking up the floor, no dust, no rubble – ideal in occupied or used environments.

  • Fast execution

The entire process usually takes a few hours – rooms are fully usable again the same day.

  • Improved insulation

In addition to lifting, the PU foam forms an extra thermal and moisture-inhibiting layer under the slab.

Limitations & notes

  • Professional equipment required

The process requires specialised 2K high-pressure machinery and cannot be done with off-the-shelf assembly foam.

  • Experience & precision

A trained crew is essential – excessive pressure or uneven lifting can damage the slab.
